Mission Request
God’s Kitchen provides meals and clothing for those in need. They are located at the Emmanuel Lutheran church in Pottstown and they set up every Monday night from 5pm to 6pm. They are in desperate need of men’s, women’s and children’s SUMMER CLOTHING! Please bring any SUMMER clothing you can donate to our church and leave it in the back. If you have too much to bring, we will coordinate picking up from you. Please reach out to Paula E.
Summertime & Time to Update your Church Records!
Please contact Linda G at the Church office with any changes you may have to your email, phone numbers, address, etc. Please email your new info to: stvincentucc@gmail.com
Church Mail
If you should mail anything to the church office via USPS (Post Office), please address your mail like this:
St Vincent UCC
PO Box 454
Phoenixville PA 19460-0454
Some of you may have experienced mail sent to the physical church address coming back to you marked "NMR," which means "No Mail Receptacle," because we do not have a delivery mailbox at 137 Ridge Road. Our mail carrier knows this, but the automated Philadelphia sorting center does not. Mystery solved!
Stewardship
So many of our lives have significantly changed due to Covid and inflation. These trying times continue, and we continue to pray for everyone’s physical and financial health. It is important to the operation of our Church that we also continue to support St Vincent UCC. We are especially grateful to those among our church family and friends who continue to give faithfully and support the Church. Any donation is greatly Appreciated. Thank you!
Mission Thanks
First and foremost the Mission Committee would like to thank each and every one of you for volunteering your time to make the wonderful blankets, and for the donations that were given for OneRun Together. Danielle S met with Vernon Murphy, Executive Director & Founder on June 9 and delivered all of our generous gifts. He was more than emotional seeing all of the items and blessed blankets, each of which included its own envelope with a special message inside. If you are interested in learning a bit more about OneRun Together, please visit their website: www.oneruntogether.org.
Looking Ahead to Sunday School in September . . .
The Christian Education committee will meet in July to discuss plans for re-opening Sunday School in September. We would love to hear from our families with school age children about your interest level on attending Sunday School next year. We will need to know the age of your children/grandchildren so we can plan our lessons accordingly. We are also looking for individuals that are interested in getting involved with the planning and/or teaching Sunday School. If that is YOU – or you're just hoping to get your children back into Sunday School - please email us at the church with your teaching interest or the names and ages of your children/grandchildren who might participate in our Sunday School program. We are excited about getting back together. We've missed helping our children learn about how to live good lives and giving them opportunities to play together and especially, we have missed their smiles and watching them grow in our church. We look forward to hearing from you and seeing you back at church in September!
Freezer Meals Ministry - Ongoing
The Evangelism and Fellowship Committee thanks those who have placed meals in our freezer downstairs. All the meals received so far have been dispersed. So the freezer needs restocking!
Please consider preparing some meals that can be frozen in advance and available to be shared. Questions? Contact Chris B or Sam T.
A small gesture, like providing a meal, can be a blessing both to the giver and receiver. The program is an opportunity for volunteers to prepare meals that can be frozen in advance and available to be shared with families or individuals in our church or community who are facing a life event (i.e. welcoming a new child, experiencing a personal crisis or medical issue, grieving a loss, etc.).
Humanitarian Aid Efforts for the People of Ukraine
As an appeal on behalf of the people of Ukraine, the UCC continues to work with global partners to assist vulnerable communities within that country and the neighboring countries who have became hosts to the refugees. Our appeal includes prayer for those in need; donations to assist in the care of the refugees; and encouraging others, including our government, to offer humanitarian assistance. Let us truly become the heart and hands and voices of Jesus on behalf of those in need and make of ourselves part of the answer to the cries of the world.
All donations we make will be deposited into the International Disasters fund designated for “Ukraine Relief” and used by our global partners for those in areas of greatest need. To donate, send your check made payable to the United Church of Christ directly to UCC, PO Box 71957, Cleveland, OH 44194. Please be sure to note “Ukraine Relief Fund” in the memo section of that check.

SUPPORTING YOUR CHURCH
There have been questions about how to continue to make your offerings. Members are mailing in their offerings routinely, some have signed up for e-giving, and others have asked if they could use PayPal. Yes, you can use PayPal via the "USE APP" button on our ST. VINCENT UNITED CHURCH OF CHRIST Facebook page to donate to St Vincent UCC. By pressing the blue "USE APP” bar under the large picture of the church, you can connect to your PayPal account. Then follow the PayPal instructions. Thank you to ALL our congregants and friends that continue to support our church while socially distancing.
